Bus services - LCC update

Good afternoon

Many thanks for your enquiry regarding the future of bus services.

We are currently working on a phased review of the supported bus services in the county and working with operators on potential improvements/enhancements to their commercial services. Information and updates can be found here:

In terms of the 125 & 129, these services are part of phase 3 of our project which we are currently working on with a view to implementation of improvements/enhancements in June. We are re-tendering services 129 and are working on potential improvements. Once this work is complete, we will showcase the proposals at the upcoming sustainable travel roadshow events.

I am aware that misleading information is being given to passengers by bus drivers, and we will address this with the bus operator.

I can confirm that there will be no gap in service provision for passengers, and once we reach a point in the process where we are able to confirm what changes may look like, this will of course be a priority.
